This manual provides instructions on use of a database system for use by the Mali Rural Water Project to locate, organize, store and assemble data related to the water resources of Mali. Currently, the MRWP is generating a large amount of data pertaining to site information, geophysical exploration, and well construction. The purpose of this database is to electronically capture and store information pertaining to MRWP Well and Geophysical Data, and Mali National Data. By maintaining such information in a central location, community names, districts, and locations remain consistent. Centralization may be more efficient for generating reports; data is readily available for viewing in Microsoft Access or export to other software programs such as Microsoft Excel or ArcGIS. |
